Some of Crestmark’s best loan referrals come from other banking institutions that want to help clients in need of a non-traditional lender, and sometimes, a custom funding solution. Crestmark established the Corporate Joint Ventures Division to facilitate these relationships, and in 2013, Pearce was chosen to head it. In the two years since his appointment, the Joint Ventures Division has had a 64 percent increase in assets. In 2015, Pearce was named executive vice president, joint ventures group president.
A veteran of the commercial finance industry, Pearce joined Crestmark in 2005 as vice president of underwriting, and later oversaw underwriting for the company’s Midwest Region. Before joining Crestmark, Pearce was vice president and account executive at Finova Capital Corporation, and a field examiner/financial analyst for Fremont Financial. Pearce earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ferris State University.
Pearce, originally from Muskegon, Mich., now resides in Clarkston with his wife, Cheryl, and twin daughters, Hadley and Addison.
He is an avid hunter, sports’ fan, and a season-ticket holder for the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. He passionately follows Ferris State University Football, where he played offensive guard for the Bulldogs in the early 90s.
