The Crestmark East Region/West Palm Beach office took part in the Palm Beach County March of Dimes March for Babies held Saturday May 14, 2011; Group President James Rothman’s twin daughters were selected as Ambassadors for the county’s 2011 campaign. Through donations given by Crestmark employees, clients, friends and family, the Crestmark-sponsored team raised $25,000 for the important cause.

Team Crestmark – Eliana and Danielle, consisted of 44 employees and friends and family; and had over 100 contributors to their team. Crestmark has taken part in the March for Babies for the last two years. Rothman’s twin daughters were born extremely premature at 24 weeks and weighed one pound, two ounces each. At the time of birth, Rothman and his wife were told to expect the worst, and in addition to prayer, and excellent care from doctors and nurses, he credits the March of Dimes and their research with the miracle that his daughters are perfectly healthy and happy three-and-a-half year-olds, without any sign of disability.

“Despite great advances, the deck is still stacked against premature babies,” said Rothman. “Anyone who has donated to this important cause in the past is a part of the reason that my daughters are alive today. We feel strongly about helping ensure that all babies are born healthy… and it’s great to be a part of an organization that stands behind their employees.”

“We were honored to have our daughters, Eliana and Danielle, featured as the Ambassadors,” Rothman continued. “And they had a lot of fun being a part of this. They are the true symbols of what thousands of people all across America are marching for.”

“It is a privilege to have March of Dimes board member Jim Rothman so committed to our mission. He knows firsthand how the programs and services we fund and provide make a difference in the lives of families across Palm Beach County,” stated Shanna St. John, Executive Director, March of Dimes, Palm Beach Division. “We congratulate him and his fantastic team at Crestmark and look forward to partnering with them in years to come as we all work together for stronger, healthier babies!”
